The work required includes the implementation of charging and maintenance stations for electric buses for 180 electric buses in the Nabq and Ruwaisat areas, in addition to the work of operating the system for 300 buses powered by electricity and gas (180 electric and 120 gas). The government announced last year that it intends to convert all cars and buses in Sharm El Sheikh and Hurghada to run on natural gas or replace them with electric vehicles in conjunction with the launch of the COP27 summit.
