MINI Launches the All-New Cooper Convertible in Egypt

Global Auto, the official importer of MINI in Egypt, has announced the launch of the all-new MINI Cooper Convertible, marking the completion of the current MINI model lineup in the Egyptian market. The fourth and final model to be introduced in Egypt from the New MINI Family offers an exhilarating open-top driving experience combined with the British brand’s legendary iconic design and cutting-edge technology. The New MINI Cooper Convertible's unmistakable design language stays true to MINI’s DNA. Looking instantly recognizable, the new drop-top model features a fresh face with revamped front and rear bumpers, a redesigned high-gloss black octagonal grille, circular LED headlights with extended contents, and new 17-inch JCW alloy wheels. Only available in the sporty John Cooper Works (JCW) trim, the 2026 MINI Cooper Convertible also features black sports stripes on the bonnet, black brake calipers adorned with the JCW logo, mirror caps in black accents, and a new rear diffuser. One of the standout features of the 2026 MINI Cooper Convertible is its sophisticated folding roof. The MINI Yours Softtop can retract either partially (like a sunroof) or fully in just 18 seconds—even while driving at speeds up to 30 km/h. When fully retracted, the soft top folds compactly and neatly behind the rear seats, ensuring maximum enjoyment without compromising style or space. Stepping inside the new MINI Cooper Convertible, drivers will be greeted by a sleek, minimalist interior that pays homage to the classic MINI while integrating the cutting-edge technology found across the modern MINI lineup. The dashboard sports a centrally-mounted 9.4-inch circular OLED display with MINI’s signature “Always Open Timer” to track every minute of open-air driving experience, the configurable six Mini Experience Modes, and a modern head-up display (HUD). Other interior highlights include distinctive John Cooper Works interior styling elements, dual-zone climate control, Vescin/cord combination upholstery in John Cooper Works black, a heated JCW steering wheel, power-adjustable JCW sports seats, a driver’s “Active” seat which is equipped with massage feature, wireless charging, and a 12-speaker Harman Kardon Surround Sound System that delivers 365 watts, just to name a few. With an adaptive suspension featuring a frequency-selective damping system, the new drop-top MINI delivers exceptional everyday driving comfort, while the wider tires amplify its signature go-kart feel and agile handling In terms of safety, the 2026 MINI Cooper Convertible comes with a long list of safety and driver-assistance features, including front, side airbags, the “Active Guard” suite, Dynamic Brake Control (DBC), Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), Dynamic Traction Control (DTC), Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), run-flat tires, brake energy regeneration, attentiveness assistant, and cruise control with a braking function, among other premium features. Under the hood lies a four-cylinder, turbocharged 2.0-liter engine that produces 163 hp and 250 Nm of torque. Coupled with a seven-speed automatic transmission (Steptronic) with a double clutch and gearshift paddles, the four-cylinder mill has a 0-100 km/h sprint time of 8.2 seconds before reaching a top speed of 220 km/h. The all-new MINI Cooper Convertible 2026 is now available in Egypt at an attractive price of L.E. 3,000,000.
