Triumphant Weekend for Lamborghini in British and Italian GT خاص - لمبورجينى 27/05/2019 1244 Sant’Agata Bolognese, 19 May 2019 – Barwell Motorsport continued its early domination of the 2019 British GT Championship by taking a double victory at the second round of the season at Snetterton in Norfolk. Phil Keen and Adam Balon came out on top in an incident-packed opening race before making a late-race overtake to complete a clean-sweep in Race 2. Starting from the inside of the second row on the grid, Balon and Keen, driving the #79 Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO, ran sixth early on before making up two places as the sister #69 Barwell car of de Haan was spun around by the Century Motorsport BMW M6 of Dominic Paul at Turn 2. Balon handed over to Keen at the mandatory driver-change pit-stop and with it, the #79 began to make a move for the podium positions, first with a move on the Aston Martin of Bradley Ellis for third which became second after the #7 Bentley of Ryan Ratcliffe lost time serving its pit-stop. Keen then moved into the lead of the race when the leading BMW of Jack Mitchell slowed suddenly at the Wilson hairpin. The pace of the Huracán GT3 EVO was evident thereafter and Keen extended the advantage at the front to beat Ratcliffe and Rob Bell to the flag by 13.551s. De Haan dropped to seventh after his spin and had to serve a 10-second success penalty at the pit-stop following a pair of podiums at the opening round of the season at Oulton Park. Cocker took over and guided the #69 to the finish in the same position. Despite having to serve their own 10-second penalty at their mandatory pit-stop, Keen and Balon repeated their Race 1 win in the second encounter, leading home a Barwell Motorsport one-two with Cocker and De Haan finishing a close second. Keen had followed in the wheel tracks of pole-sitter Nicki Thiim (Aston Martin) as the pair built a large lead in the opening stint. But having taken over from Keen, Balon closed the gap to the #2 - now in the hands of Mark Farmer - and made a late overtake at Nelson to seize a well-deserved double success. Meanwhile, there was more success for Lamborghini in the Italian GT Endurance series at Misano, with Alex Frassineti, Jeroen Mul and Vito Postiglione taking victory for Imperiale Racing (Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO). The Italian-Dutch crew moved from the third row of the grid, with Postiglione at the wheel, to lead early on in wet conditions. The Super Trofeo Europe racer then extended his advantage over the rest of the field before handing over to Frassineti. Mul then completed the final stint, eventually finishing 33.323s clear of second place after 96 laps. Orange1 by Grasser Racing Team celebrated a double podium finish in the two ADAC GT Masters races at the Most circuit in the Czech Republic. Mirko Bortolotti and Christian Engelhart finished a close second to Patrick Niederhauser and Kelvin van der Linde's Audi in Race 1, while Franck Perera and Rolf Ineichen repeated that feat with a strong runner-up in the second race.
